Over 3 Million Visitors To USAJOBS And Over 50,000 Resumes Online

OPM incorporates additional feedback to the site

Washington, D.C. - With millions of daily users hoping to secure an opportunity to serve their country, the USAJOBS website is exceeding expectations.  Helping the situation are updates that include agency and job search results.

"USAJOBS is a wonderful example of a successful Bush administration initiative, one that is helping citizens access careers in the public service," said OPM Director Kay Coles James.   "The feedback we are receiving on USAJOBS website is invaluable.  Our aim is to ensure all citizens have timely access to specific information on how they can serve our country."

"Federal agencies are being presented with applicants who are ready and able to serve their country.  USAJOBS is just one of several initiatives that will help federal agencies meet their human capital needs," James continued.

The latest record-breaking numbers of visitors to USAJOBS include 3,028,644 "unique" visitors from August 4 through August 20 and 40 million page views during the same period.  Job seekers have created 51,661 resumes as well.

In addition to the impressive numbers, recent OPM updates to USAJOBS include a revision that allows job seekers to search entire departments and agencies within the drop-down list, thus making it easier for job seekers to broaden or narrow their search requirements according to their interests.  To help job seekers wanting to know how long the job announcement will be posted,  an updated job search results list now includes the closing date of job announcements.
