OPM Director Appoints Kevin Mahoney Associate Director, Human Capital Leadership and Merit System Accountability

Washington, DC - U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Director Linda M. Springer has named Kevin E. Mahoney OPM's new Associate Director, Human Capital Leadership. Mahoney has served as Acting Associate Director since December 1, 2006.

"Kevin has more than 25 years of human resources experience which have given him an excellent foundation for helping OPM create and manage a workforce of leaders, people who know how to get things done," said Springer.

Prior to his appointment as Associate Director, Mahoney served as Deputy Associate Director of OPM's Center for Merit System Accountability, where he was responsible for holding federal agencies responsible for delegated authorities and compliance with the merit system principles and other Civil Service laws, rules and regulations.
