SSPS registration is now extended to Friday, November 8, 2013.
The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Federal Investigative Services (FIS) and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), Office of the National Counterintelligence Executive (ONCIX) will host the annual Suitability/Security Professionals Seminar (SSPS) on November 19 & 20, 2013, in Tysons Corner, Vienna, VA. This year's theme is "Strength Through Partnership" and the agenda will include Executive Agent guest speakers for both Security and Suitability, an OPM/FIS--ODNI/ONCIX panel discussion, and relevant workshops. The prestigious OPM Guardian Award will be presented at the seminar. The educational topics for the SSPS include:
Plenary sessions are scheduled in the morning for both days of the seminar. Workshops will be conducted in the afternoon on both days of the seminar. A continental breakfast, lunch, and break services will be provided each day.
The cost for the two-day seminar is $150. The SSPS is open to Federal employees only; contractors are not permitted to attend. Payment must be included with registration and will be accepted by either Inter-Agency Payment and Collection (IPAC) or Government Purchase Card (GPC). IPAC payment is preferred. Since registration will cross fiscal years (FY), your agency will need to ensure registration is submitted within the deadlines for the appropriate fiscal year for the obligation. Please complete all sections electronically and click "Submit by E-Mail" within the form to submit your registration request to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Registration will commence August 21, 2013. The following dates factor into the registration process:
Due to fiscal year end closing processes, registration forms should not be submitted between September 26th and October 10th.
The final registration deadline is Friday, November 8, 2013. We will be able to accommodate 500 attendees. Notices will be sent confirming registration status directly to the attendee's email address listed on the registration form. No refunds or substitutions will be permitted after Friday, November 8, 2013.
